Ms. Ryan has more than 35 years of experience in the energy industry, providing advisory services in natural gas and power supply management, energy risk management, enterprise risk management, and utility leadership development. Her collaborative approach emphasizes engagement and alignment among clients, teams, and stakeholders to ensure strategies are both practical and actionable.

She has advised regulated and non-regulated electric, natural gas, and water utility clients in areas such as energy risk management, corporate strategy, enterprise risk frameworks, portfolio management, and organizational development. Ms. Ryan also designs and leads professional development programs for utilities and energy organizations, including the Northwest Public Power Association and Willamette University.

Ms. Ryan has been consulting since 2006, through her company Aether Advisors LLC and Concentric Energy Advisors Inc., where she led the Risk Management practice. Her earlier industry leadership includes serving as Vice President of Risk Management and Strategic Planning, and Vice President of Energy Portfolio Management, at Puget Sound Energy. She also held senior roles at TransAlta USA and Louis Dreyfus Corporation, where she was instrumental in building natural gas trading, marketing, and merchant power businesses.

Ms. Ryan has served as a member and chair of the Seattle City Light Review Panel, a trustee of the Northwest Public Power Association, and as Program Director for utility leadership and management certificate programs at regional and national energy organizations. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of Entrion Wind and continues to support the professional growth of future utility executives. Ms. Ryan’s office location is Seattle, WA.
