With over 25 years of experience in the utility industry, Ms. Aponte is a highly accomplished Rates and Regulatory executive, recognized for her expertise in electric and gas revenue requirements, cost analysis, and pricing. She has served as an expert witness in numerous high-profile cases before the Michigan Public Service Commission, ensuring the recovery of billions of dollars in annual revenues.
Ms. Aponte has a proven track record of developing regulatory strategies, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving process improvements. She has played a key role in negotiating rate case settlements and successfully implemented innovative data analytics models to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
Throughout her career, Ms. Aponte has been recognized for removing barriers to enable high-performing teams and championing customer-centric initiatives that significantly increased customer acquisition and satisfaction. She is also skilled in financial and operational reporting, budgeting and forecasting, contract management, and stakeholder engagement.
In 2022, Ms. Aponte received the Women of Color Fintech Leadership Award for her leadership in developing financial technology processes, including integrating smart meter data into electric customer load studies.
Before joining Atrium Economics, Ms. Aponte advanced her career at Consumers Energy, ultimately serving as the Director of Revenue Requirements.
Ms. Aponte holds an MBA from Spring Arbor University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Venezuela. Ms. Aponte’s office location is Jacksonville, FL.
